Dennyse Snyder
My name is Dennyse and I am so glad you are here. I am excited to work with you and your child. Families have always been important to me. Both as a wife and a mother of five adult children I know the importance of family and growing together. I also know the difficulties that often go with family life and am honored to work alongside of you and your family.
I work from an attachment-based, trauma-informed, family systems perspective. I love helping children in therapy through play and using puppets, books, and sand play. I especially value the importance of mindfulness and enjoy helping children learn to identify and make choices relating to feelings.
I have experience with helping children with problems relating to dysregulation, developmental delays, autism, and ADHD. I work with children (up to 12 years old) and their parents.
My bachelor’s degree is from Asbury University (outside of Lexington, Kentucky) and my masters is from the University of Kentucky. I also have advanced training in infant, early childhood, and family mental health through the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Pediatric Mental Health Certificate from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay.
