Jessica Donato
Hello! My name is Jessica, and I am delighted to work with you and your child. I believe that I bring hope, playfulness, and warmth to my work with children and families. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where children and families find healing and growth through play and connection. Practicing from a trauma-informed perspective, I understand the many different hardships faced by families and am here to work alongside you on your family’s journey to wellness. I utilize a variety of age-appropriate therapeutic tools to best connect with your child and help your child express themselves, meeting them where they are at. Some modalities that I incorporate into my practice include cognitive behavior therapy, play-based interventions, and mindfulness.
I received my Bachelor’s degree from UW-La Crosse, and I completed my Master’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I have also received a Pediatric Mental Health Certificate from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. My professional experience includes working with adolescents in residential treatment, providing behavioral therapy to children with autism, working in treatment foster care, and now as a child therapist. I have experience with helping children, adolescents, and families with concerns relating to developmental delays, autism, foster care, depression/anxiety, and other behavior dysregulation concerns. I currently work with children (zero to 12 years old) and their families.
I believe that healing requires connection, courage, and compassion. I would love the opportunity to work with your family on your journey to wellbeing.
