Carrie Belsky Appointed to Milwaukee County Commission for Persons with Disabilities

Milwaukee County has appointed Carrie Belsky, CFI’s AVP of Employment, Home & Community Based Services, to the Commission for Persons with Disabilities. With more than 30 years of experience[JW1.1], including over 20 years at CFI, Belsky is deeply committed to advancing employment and community inclusion for people with disabilities. At CFI, she leads LIFE Services, Home Care and Employment Services—person-centered services that expand access to jobs and support greater independence.

Throughout her career, Belsky has focused on building programs and partnerships that increase opportunity and support self-determination. Her work emphasizes practical solutions that help our clients participate more fully in the community.

The commission promotes independence of people with disabilities by addressing barriers, expanding access and advising county leaders on key issues affecting Milwaukee County residents. Belsky will bring a thoughtful, collaborative and outcomes-driven perspective to her two-year term with the commission.

“I am confident the commission will benefit from her expertise, leadership and deep commitment to inclusive communities,” said Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley in the commission’s official announcement.

“My work is rooted in the belief that people with disabilities deserve equitable access to opportunity, the power of choice and self-determination, and full inclusion within their communities,” said Belsky. “I’m honored to contribute to the important work of the commission in advancing these priorities.”
